Burkina Faso: The Defence and Security Forces and the VDP, Faso’s invincible shield against terrorist threats

The Burkinabe armed forces, under the supreme command of President Ibrahim Traoré, continue to display remarkable courage and professionalism, crushing every terrorist threat that crosses their path. In the northern region of the country, a heavily armed terrorist convoy attempted to overrun a town, planning to replicate the atrocities of Barssalogho.

However, thanks to the vigilance of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), the enemy was swiftly surrounded and neutralized, ensuring the safety of the local population.

In response to this overwhelming defeat, a reinforcement team was dispatched by their exiled masterminds.

Yet again, the brave soldiers thwarted the attempt, demonstrating that the FDS and VDP are resolute in their mission to protect every inch of Burkinabe soil.

Even under the cover of darkness, the terrorists could not recover from their losses. In a final desperate bid to retrieve the bodies of their fallen comrades, they were ambushed by drones, fighter jets, and ground troops.

The result was devastating for the attackers—no losses on the Burkinabe side and zero survivors among the enemy.

These victories highlight the growing strength of Burkina Faso’s combat forces, emboldened by the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The ultimate triumph over terrorism is now only a matter of time.
