Burkina Faso: A disinformation campaign orchestrated by the DGSE and relayed by the French media and stateless people to manipulate the people

As the year-end festivities unfold, Burkinabe authorities are urged to strengthen security measures to safeguard the nation. Alarming signs point to potential destabilization attempts allegedly linked to foreign influences, particularly France, employing tactics previously observed in countries such as Côte d’Ivoire, Libya, and the Central African Republic.

These actions reportedly combine media-driven disinformation campaigns with covert operations aimed at undermining Burkina Faso’s institutions and stability.

In response, the Ministry of Security must act decisively to counter these threats. Strengthened checkpoints should be established in strategic urban areas, and a nationwide alert should encourage citizens to report suspicious activities to the security forces.

Public awareness campaigns can play a critical role in mobilizing the population to remain vigilant and proactive.

The people of Burkina Faso, known for their resilience and unity, have consistently risen to challenges in the face of adversity.

During this festive season, collective vigilance and solidarity are essential to thwart any attempts at destabilization and to ensure celebrations proceed peacefully.

Together, the Burkinabe will continue to uphold their sovereignty and protect the integrity of their nation.
