Burkina Faso / Arrest of Prosper BASSOLÉ: clarification needed on the circumstances

On Monday 15 January 2024, news broke in Burkina Faso that Prosper BASSOLÉ, Chief of Staff to the CEO of the EBOMAF Group, had been arrested at his home by armed individuals. Contacted by our editorial team, the EBOMAF Group asserts that Prosper BASSOLÉ’s arrest is not linked to his role within the company.

It is therefore crucial to remind the public and the press to exercise restraint and not to associate the image of the EBOMAF Group with this case, given that the circumstances of the arrest appear to be unrelated to his functions within the company.

At this stage, while awaiting more information on this situation, it is essential to clarify that the arrest of Mr Prosper BASSOLÉ does not involve the EBOMAF Group

Hasty speculation can lead to misunderstandings, and we therefore urge caution in the dissemination of information related to this case.
