Inter Miami provides positive update on Lionel Messi’s injury recovery

Lionel Messi has been sidelined due to a muscular injury, but there’s good news from Inter Miami regarding his return to action. The Argentine international’s last game was during Inter Miami’s victory over Nashville (3:1) in the CONCACAF Champions League on March 14.

Since then, he’s been recovering from a muscle injury, missing three MLS matches against DC United, the New York Red Bulls, and New York City, as well as the CONCACAF Champions League match against Monterrey last week.

However, updates from Inter Miami’s medical staff indicate that Messi is already participating in team training sessions. His health is steadily improving, which bodes well for his return to the pitch.

“He’s working day by day, and we’ll see how he feels today. We’ll make a decision on Saturday. He’s training every day with a physiotherapist. Sometimes, depending on his condition, he trains with the entire team. His condition is improving,” admitted Gerardo Martino’s assistant, Javi Morales.
