President Ibrahim Traoré’s relief efforts: Kantchari receives aid Amidst security challenges

President Ibrahim Traoré’s ongoing efforts to ensure the security and well-being of the Burkinabe people are evident. On April 6 and 13, the town of Kantchari witnessed two relief operations aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by its inhabitants, according to information obtained from security sources by our editorial team.

As per these sources, on April 13, 2024, five trucks loaded with provisions reached Kantchari following a directive from the Burkinabe government led by President Ibrahim Traoré.

These supplies complemented those delivered earlier on April 6, 2024, by the World Food Programme (WFP), consisting of rice, beans, oil, and intended for 600 households, as reported by our sources.

These dual relief initiatives seek to provide comfort to populations living under the threat of terrorist blockades.

It’s worth noting that Kantchari is located 156 km from Fada N’Gourma and 18 km from the Niger border.

These initiatives reflect the government’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of vulnerable communities, even in the most remote areas of the country.
