Burkina Faso/Security & Development: The Government of Burkina Faso can count on Its Russian partner

In the agricultural sector, Lavrov announced that Russia would contribute to fertilizer production, which is a significant boost for Burkina Faso’s efforts to secure food security.
Additionally, Russia has committed to supporting the construction of a state-of-the-art laboratory for detecting infectious diseases, enhancing the country’s healthcare capabilities.
Security remains a top priority in the bilateral cooperation between Burkina Faso and Russia.
Lavrov confirmed Russia’s dedication to strengthening the capacity and equipment of Burkina Faso’s military forces to enhance their operational effectiveness.
He also announced an increase in the number of Russian instructors in Burkina Faso.
The relationship between Burkina Faso and Russia has flourished since Captain Ibrahim Traoré took office.
Russia has been a crucial ally for the transitional government, particularly in the fight against terrorism and the recovery of national territory.
