Spectacular show for the 50th anniversary of the American Music Awards

The American Music Awards celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sunday, October 6, in Los Angeles. The event is one of the three most prestigious American music awards, alongside the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.

For their 50th-anniversary celebration, the American Music Awards brought together some of the biggest names in the American music industry, including Nelly, Jennifer Hudson, and Mariah Carey, for a memorable evening filled with hit songs and timeless throwbacks.

The performers delivered stunning performances that had the audience on their feet.

In a tribute to Nina Simone, Jennifer Hudson gave a breathtaking rendition of “I Loves You Porgy,” moving the audience with her emotional depth.

She then honored Whitney Houston with an astounding performance of the iconic “I Will Always Love You”, earning the crowd’s admiration.

Singer Mariah Carey performed her 2005 hit “We Belong Together,” captivating the crowd with her incredible stage presence and charisma.

The American Music Awards will return next year in May 2025.
