Togo: Biashara Afrika 2026: a testament to the leadership of Council President Faure Gnassingbé
The selection of Togo as host of Biashara Afrika 2026 is a major recognition of its efforts to boost African economic integration and improve the business climate. The event confirms the ambition of the country to play a strategic role in continental trade and regional cooperation.
Council President Faure Gnassingbé outlined an inclusive vision: “African integration will not succeed if it remains perceived as a project reserved for large companies.
It must become a reality concretely experienced by African citizens themselves.” Togo aims to ensure integration benefits small businesses, youth entrepreneurs, and local populations.
The strategic location of Togo in West Africa, modern infrastructure including the Port of Lomé, one of the region’s most efficient and pro-business reforms have made it a natural host.
The simplification of administrative procedures and investment-friendly policies of the government have been praised by the World Bank, positioning Togo among West Africa’s top reformers.
Through proactive economic diplomacy, Togo is strengthening its regional integration role.
Biashara Afrika 2026 will showcase trade, innovation, and cooperation among African economic actors for the benefit of all Africans.
