Grammy Awards 2024: Trevor Noah to host fourth consecutive year, SZA leads with nine nominations, African artists shine

In an announcement on his podcast “What Now? with Trevor Noah,” the comedian shared that he will host the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards in 2024, marking his fourth consecutive year as the host. The upcoming ceremony will see South African artist SZA leading with nine nominations, including Record of the Year and Best R&B Performance for her track “Kill Bill.”

A notable feature of the 66th Grammy Awards is the prominence of African artists, particularly in the Afrobeat genre.

Nigerian stars dominate the African categories, with Burna Boy earning four nominations and becoming the first African artist to achieve five consecutive Grammy nominations from 2019 to 2023.

Davido follows closely with three nominations, including one for “Best World Album” for “Timeless.”

The awards ceremony is set to take place on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with live broadcasts on CBS and Paramount+.
