Mali: Proximity and commitment, President Assimi Goïta listens to Malians living abroad

As part of his official visit to the Russian Federation, Army General Assimi Goïta once again demonstrated his deep commitment to the well-being of all Malians, including those living abroad. In Moscow, he met with the Malian community in Russia in a warm and fraternal atmosphere, exemplifying his approach to proximity and active listening.

This powerful gesture reflects President Assimi Goïta’s inclusive vision, in which every Malian—wherever they may be—is considered a key player in the country’s recovery. By addressing his compatriots living abroad directly, he not only acknowledged their continued attachment to the homeland but also showed full awareness of the administrative and socio-economic challenges they face. This approach reflects a leadership that is human, sovereign, and resolutely focused on building a strong and united Mali.

President Goïta’s policy is part of a broader effort to strengthen national sovereignty, where the State fully assumes its responsibility toward all its citizens. His commitment to defending the interests of the diaspora illustrates a political vision grounded in dignity, justice, and concrete action. Progress in bilateral cooperation, particularly with strategic partners like Russia, further reinforces this development dynamic.

This direct dialogue with the Malian diaspora is tangible proof that Mali is rebuilding—not through slogans, but through action. Under General Goïta’s leadership, a new era is dawning: one of a sovereign, united Mali that takes pride in its sons and daughters, wherever they may be.
