Football/ PSG 4-0 Inter Miami: João Neves shines with first brace for Paris

On Sunday evening, during the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup, João Neves lit up the pitch in Paris Saint-Germain’s colors. Facing Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, the young Portuguese midfielder was the key figure in commanding of PSG 4-0 victory. Scoring his very first brace for the club, Neves delivered a masterful performance in midfield.

Since arriving in Paris last August, the former Benfica player has continued to prove he’s a truly special talent. Against the Floridian side, the Tavira native impressed with his technical precision, strength in duels, and ability to drive forward into attacking positions. In just 62 minutes on the field, his numbers spoke for themselves: 95% pass accuracy, five ball recoveries, zero losses of possession, and two goals scored.

Named man of the match by FIFA, Neves showed that, at just 20 years old, he is already a cornerstone of PSG’s midfield. With such a display, he further solidifies his status as one of the most promising young players in world football, playing a vital role in Paris Saint-Germain’s international ambitions.
