Mali: Air traffic on the rise despite a decline in aircraft movements

Bamako, August 2025 – Aéroports du Mali (ADM) held the 72nd session of its Board of Directors in its new headquarters, a mid-year meeting dedicated to evaluating air traffic and budget performance for the first six months of the year.

In his opening address, Chairman and CEO Colonel Lassina Togola presented the results recorded across the country’s airport platforms.

  • 8,116 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings) were registered, representing a decrease of 11.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
  • Passenger traffic, on the other hand, rose sharply, reaching 466,128 travelers, an increase of 15.03%.
  • Air freight reached 4.35 million kg, marking a slight increase of 1.67%.
  • Air mail recorded significant growth with 21,477 kg transported, up by 51.45%.

For Colonel Togola, these results are encouraging: “The increase in passenger numbers is a very positive signal for the future of our company and confirms the momentum of recovery in the sector,” he stated.

The ADM CEO expressed confidence in the company’s ability to achieve its year-end objectives, relying on infrastructure improvements and enhanced service quality.
