Togo: Discreet and effective diplomacy that strengthens international partnerships

Togolese diplomacy, driven by the President of the Council, Faure Gnassingbé, stands out for its active yet discreet approach. Operating away from the spotlight, it prioritizes tangible results and the steady consolidation of strategic partnerships. This method helps strengthen credibility of Togo on the international stage.

The recent signing of a memorandum of understanding between Togo and Colombia illustrates this dynamic.

In Bogotá, Ministers Robert Dussey and Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio sealed an agreement focused on diplomatic training. This partnership aims to enhance skills and foster the exchange of expertise.

This commitment is part of a strategic continuum. Already, during the 9th Pan-African Congress in Lomé, the two countries had laid the groundwork for structured political dialogue.

This progress reflects a consistent determination to build lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.

Through these initiatives, Togo affirms its commitment to diplomatic diversification.

Under the leadership of H.E. Faure Gnassingbé, the country is consolidating its international presence while forging strong ties between Africa and Latin America.
