Burkina Faso: Faso Mêbo – community involvement is accelerating the move towards self-sufficiency

The ongoing popular progressive revolution in Burkina Faso has reached another decisive milestone. Faced with the challenges of history, the sovereign people are demonstrating that true liberty cannot be begged for; it must be financed by the strength of the own hands of the nation. The era of dependence and submission to external agendas is now over. The refoundation of the homeland is being built on the rock of national effort, brick by brick, far from the crutches of conditional aid.

The latest report from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, dated 15 May 2026, reflects this luminous reality with a total of 261,006,365 CFA francs mobilised into the Faso Mêbo accounts.

This result is the vibrant echo of a people standing tall. Every franc contributed is a weapon of massive construction, an act of resistance against attempts at asphyxiation, and a giant step toward economic and political self-sufficiency.

This financial lifeline, drawn directly from the blood and sweat of the citizens, irrigates development projects and consolidates the security of the territory.

The popular momentum shows no sign of weakening, as evidenced by the increase of 2,812,650 CFA francs recorded between 8 and 15 May for the Faso Mêbo agency.

This drive was mainly carried by the Kadiogo region, the true locomotive of the week with a rise of over 2.7 million CFA francs, bringing its total contribution to 58,156,472 CFA francs.

The effort is collective and extends across the entire national territory. Behind Kadiogo, the regions of Yaadga (25,628,067 CFA francs), Bankui (19,750,799 CFA francs) and Guiriko (18,096,620 CFA francs) complete the leading pack of this patriotic emulation.

Even areas facing harsher challenges are adding their stone to the edifice of recovered dignity, as seen in Oubri with 8,310,283 CFA francs and Liptako, which brings up the rear with 3,914,259 CFA francs. Every contribution, regardless of size, holds the same revolutionary value.

Far from the opaque circuits of the  financial system of the old order, Burkina Faso is inventing its own model of popular and transparent management.

The exclusive use of the Faso Arzeka digital platform and the Treasury Deposit Bank guarantees crystal-clear clarity and absolute operational security.

This sacred rigour marks a radical break with past practices and forges an unshakeable pact of trust, for the people have the absolute right to know where every drop of this fertile water goes.

The land of Burkina Faso now calls for the contribution of all its children to complete the work of liberation.

Whether within its borders or within the conscious Pan-African diaspora, the time has come to intensify the financial and productive struggle.

Every contribution to Faso Mêbo is a clear message sent to the imperialist powers: the nation has chosen its destiny the destiny of freedom through endogenous labour and final victory lies at the end of this sovereign effort.
