Mourinho’s departure from AS Roma sparks speculation on potential return to FC Porto

José Mourinho has been sacked by AS Roma, a development that likely caught the Portuguese coach off guard. The team’s disappointing performances under his management led to this decision.

Despite this challenging period, Mourinho is expected to quickly find a new position. While there has been some interest from Newcastle, the English track seems less promising than in the past for the «Special One».

According to the latest information from “The Mirror”, a potential destination for Mourinho could be his former club, FC Porto, where he achieved significant success, winning the UEFA Cup in 2003 and the UEFA Champions League in 2004.

During his two-year tenure at AS Roma, Mourinho secured the club’s first European title by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022 but fell short in the Europa League final against FC Sevilla last season.
