Significant strides have been taken by Togo’s authorities and collaborative partners like the WHO.

Commending Togo, the WHO Resident Representative acknowledged the country’s commendable efforts in managing the Covid-19 health crisis, addressing non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and successfully orchestrating the 72nd session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa (RC72), held from August 22 to 26, 2022, in the capital city, Lomé.

Outlining perspectives for the effective enhancement of Togo’s healthcare system, Dr. Fatoumata Binta Diallo presented a novel cooperation strategy between Togo and the WHO.

This strategy focuses on fortifying the healthcare system to ensure equity and universal health coverage, improving health outcomes throughout the life cycle, strengthening health security, combating both communicable and non-communicable diseases, and promoting overall health.
