Inter Miami and LA Galaxy battle to a draw in MLS Showdown: Messi’s magic seals the deal

Inter Miami, kicking off the season with a triumph, found themselves settling for a draw in their second Major League Soccer regular-season match against the LA Galaxy.

The reigning Ballon d’Or champion, Lionel Messi, played a pivotal role by netting a crucial goal.

LA Galaxy took the lead with a 75th-minute strike from Dejan Jovelic. Despite Inter Miami’s relentless efforts to secure a draw, it was Messi, their star forward, who leveled the score in the 90+2nd minute after a sublime pass from Jordi Alba.

The Galaxy team might rue the missed opportunity, having failed to convert a penalty early in the match.

This outcome propelled Messi’s squad to the summit of the standings in the Eastern Conference of the American Championship.
