Bayern Munich’s resilience shines: Secures Quarter-Final berth with 3-0 triumph over Lazio in Champions League

In a crucial Champions League clash, Bayern Munich, facing domestic struggles, displayed resilience by securing a 3-0 victory over Lazio. Harry Kane’s brace and Thomas Müller’s goal propelled Bayern to the quarter-finals.

Having suffered a 0-1 defeat in Rome, Bayern aimed to overturn the deficit at the Allianz Arena.

Despite starting the season as tournament favorites, Bayern’s current form falls short of expectations.

The Lazio, also not in stellar form, sought to capitalize on their opponent’s issues for a quarter-final berth, a feat not achieved in two decades.

The match began with Lazio defending calmly and even had a chance to take the lead, but Matteo Guendouzi’s attempt went wide.

Bayern responded with a swift attack, resulting in Kane heading in a goal at the 39th minute.

Just before halftime, Müller added a second goal from a well-delivered corner.

Kane completed his brace in the 56th minute. Despite Lazio’s efforts, Bayern’s persistence secured their spot in the quarter-finals, signaling a potential turnaround in their season.
