Burkina Faso: The State strengthens the capacities of the national gendarmerie with new infrastructure

As promised by the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Burkina Faso is steadfastly committed to enhancing its military capabilities. This strategic initiative aims to ensure national security and safeguard citizens’ protection in a context where Burkinabe security is of paramount importance.

Since assuming power, Captain Ibrahim Traoré has launched an ambitious program to equip and modernize the Burkinabe army.

His dedication to strengthening the military arsenal has materialized with the provision of new infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment to the national gendarmerie.

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the Sig-Noghin town brigade hosted an official ceremony marking the reception of four new infrastructures aimed at bolstering the capacities of the national gendarmerie’s provost services.

These modern, fully equipped installations are the result of an ambitious project initiated under the leadership of the Head of State.

With these new infrastructures, the national gendarmerie now has qualified human resources and cutting-edge logistics to successfully carry out its essential missions.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s efforts to strengthen the army’s armament demonstrate his determination to ensure Burkina Faso’s security and stability.

In parallel with this initiative, the Head of State has also implemented measures to reinforce military justice, thereby establishing a solid legal framework for security forces’ actions in the field.
