Travis Scott arrested in Paris after altercation with hotel security

American rapper Travis Scott was arrested at a Paris hotel after an altercation with a security guard.

The Paris Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the incident, stating that police were called to the Georges V Hotel early in the morning to detain a man “identified as Travis Scott” following an alleged assault on a security officer.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute between Scott and his bodyguard, prompting the intervention of the hotel’s security staff. The investigation by local authorities is ongoing.

Travis Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, was in Paris to attend the Olympic Games.

He was present at the U.S. men’s basketball team’s semi-final victory over Serbia on Thursday night.

As a leading figure in hip-hop, Scott has more than 100 songs that have appeared on the Billboard Hot 100, including four chart-topping singles: “Sicko Mode,” “Highest in the Room,” “The Scotts,” and “Franchise.”
