Cinema: Brandy Norwood stars in chilling horror film “the Front Room”

Brandy Norwood, widely known for her music career, has returned to the world of horror films with The Front Room, a psychological thriller directed by Sam and Max Eggers. Released recently in the U.S., the film showcases Norwood in a role that dives deep into suspense and fear.

Set in a haunting old house in New Jersey, The Front Room centers on the character Belinda, a pregnant woman whose peaceful life is upended by the unsettling behavior of her overbearing mother-in-law.

The story, adapted from a 2016 tale by Susan Hill, uses the chilling backdrop of a house where the previous tenant mysteriously died, heightening the tension as Belinda faces growing terror.

While Norwood is known for her musical accomplishments, her performance in the horror genre is not new.

She previously starred in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and now, she is relishing the opportunity to explore darker characters.

“It’s fun to make people feel fear,” Brandy noted in an interview, reflecting on her enjoyment of playing roles that delve into psychological thrills.

In The Front Room, Brandy masterfully takes on the challenging role of navigating complex emotions amidst horror.

The film has all the ingredients of a classic suspense story: paranoia, tension, and unexpected twists. Running for 86 minutes, it delivers a gripping experience for horror fans.

The film is set for its UK premiere on October 25, and fans of the genre can look forward to another powerful performance from Brandy Norwood in this intense and eerie thriller.
