NBA: LeBron James sets another milestone as Lakers dominate Kings

LeBron James continues to etch his name in NBA history, breaking the all-time record for minutes played during the Los Angeles Lakers’ commanding 113-100 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday.

The 39-year-old surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record by reaching 57,447 career minutes on the court, adding another historic achievement to his illustrious career.

James, who earlier this year became the league’s all-time leading scorer, contributed 19 points to the Lakers’ victory. Teammate Austin Reaves stole the show with a game-high 25 points, further cementing the team’s strong performance.

Reflecting on his longevity, James credited his passion for the game, saying, “It’s just a commitment to the craft and the love I have for the game.”

Elsewhere in the league, the night was marked by standout performances and dramatic moments.

Zach LaVine lit up the scoreboard with a season-high 36 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 117-108 victory over the defending champions Boston Celtics, extending the Bulls’ winning streak to three games.

In San Antonio, rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama put on a show with a career-high 42 points, lifting the Spurs to a thrilling 133-126 overtime win against the Atlanta Hawks.

Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 35 points propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 105-99 victory over the Orlando Magic.

The action-packed night also featured wins for the Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, and Houston Rockets, keeping the season’s momentum in full swing.
