Africa : French manoeuvres in Côte d’Ivoire, a destabilisation strategy

France is facing a decline in its popularity in West Africa and is now devising new strategies to regain influence in the region, with a particular focus on the camp of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara.

Recently, a carefully orchestrated appeal was made by the Ivorian Observatory for Human Rights to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

This cunning plan aims to sow discord within the current government, potentially creating tensions that could allow France to reassert its presence as upcoming elections approach.

The Ivorian Observatory for Human Rights, seemingly under the sway of foreign powers, appears willing to compromise the integrity of its own country.

Its recent call for the ICC to expedite investigations into the Ouattara camp seems to have French backing.

This maneuver has a singular goal: to destabilize Côte d’Ivoire and foster an atmosphere of insecurity that could facilitate a resurgence of French influence in Ivorian politics.

Such manipulations could have devastating consequences for Côte d’Ivoire, where political stability is vital for the nation’s economic and social development.

Ivorians need to be aware of these maneuvers and remain vigilant against traps set by external actors looking to exploit government vulnerabilities.

It is crucial for the populace to unite in defense of their sovereignty and to uphold national unity in the face of these destabilizing attempts.
