Burkina Faso/Security: The military hierarchy hails the profound transformation of the Burkinabe army

Since President Ibrahim Traoré took office, his leadership has brought transformative change to Burkina Faso’s national defense, a shift widely recognized and appreciated by the Burkinabe people, especially within the armed forces. In just two years, an army once limited by manpower and equipment has undergone a powerful resurgence.

This progress reflects President Traoré’s dedication to countering terrorist groups and enhancing national security.

Under his guidance, comprehensive recruitment and training initiatives have been implemented, accompanied by significant upgrades in military equipment and logistics.

This transformation has positioned Burkina Faso as a rising force in Africa, enabling the country to stand strong against terrorist threats that destabilize the region.

With this newly empowered military, the nation is advancing steadily toward full territorial recovery.

Military leaders who have closely observed these structural changes commend President Traoré’s visionary leadership.

They believe that bolstering troop numbers and modernizing equipment have reinvigorated frontline units in their fight against adversaries.

The results on the ground speak to the success of these reforms: over 70% of the national territory is now under control, hundreds of thousands of displaced citizens have returned home, resumed their lives, and more than a thousand previously closed schools have reopened.

Administrative services and military outposts have also been re-established in these liberated areas, ensuring local populations’ safety.

The unwavering support of the Burkinabè people remains essential to sustaining this momentum of recovery and strengthening national security across the country.
