Champions League : Barcelona outclasses Brest 3-0

Barcelona cruised to a 3-0 victory over Stade Brestois on Tuesday in the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League, delivering a clinical performance at Montjuïc. Robert Lewandowski stole the spotlight, scoring twice, including his 100th Champions League goal.

Brest showed early promise with Ludovic Ajorque and Mahdi Camara attempting to break through Barcelona’s defense in the opening minutes.

However, a penalty in the 8th minute, conceded by Brest’s goalkeeper Marco Bizot for a foul on Lewandowski, turned the tide. The Polish striker converted with ease to give Barça the lead.

From there, the Catalans dominated possession and created multiple chances. Bizot made several crucial saves to deny Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez, keeping Brest within reach until halftime.

In the second half, Barcelona’s relentless attack overwhelmed Brest. Lewandowski added another goal to his tally, sealing the victory alongside a strong team performance.

The result drops Brest to 9th in the group with 10 points, while Barcelona rises to 2nd with 12. With one match left, Barça is closing in on qualification, while Brest faces a challenging path to keep their Champions League dream alive.
