Tennis/ Morocco crowned Africa’s Top Tennis Nation for 7th Straight Year

The Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) has once again named Morocco the continent’s best tennis nation for 2025, marking its seventh consecutive win. The honor follows outstanding performances by Moroccan juniors in African championships across the U14, U16, and U18 categories.

In an official letter, CAT President Jean-Claude Talon praised Morocco’s dominance, highlighting victories in the 2025 African Youth Championships and bonus points earned from the 2024 U14 event. The award will be presented during the closing ceremony of the upcoming U14 African Team Championship in Cairo (May 5-10, 2025).

Faïçal Laraïchi, President of the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation, hailed the achievement as a testament to the country’s thriving tennis development program. Morocco’s sustained success underscores its status as Africa’s leading force in the sport.
