Burkina Faso: The Samendeni Agropole, the new beating heart of practical training

Recently in Samendeni, in the commune of Bama, under the instruction of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, a new cornerstone for the future of education in Burkina Faso has been laid. Indeed, the handover of a five-hectare site for the construction of a vocational high school specializing in agro-sylvo-pastoral production marks a decisive shift in President Ibrahim Traoré’s commitment to providing quality education for all.

This action falls within the framework of the Presidential Initiative for Quality Education for All (IPEQ), an ambitious project that aims to strengthen the education sector while promoting sustainable and endogenous development.

In a context where Burkina Faso seeks to position itself as a major player in agriculture and livestock in Africa, this specialized vocational high school becomes an essential pillar.

It will be dedicated to training young people in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture—sectors vital to the country.

The objective is to guide Burkinabe youth toward promising careers, thereby contributing to the nation’s economic and social development.

President Ibrahim Traoré has expressed his ambition to bring such institutions closer to agropoles, for a direct impact on rural areas.

The IPEQ Technical Coordinator, Dr. Raymond Ouoba, specified that the construction of this high school must be completed within six months.

This rapid timeline underscores the commitment of the contracted companies, which have pledged to meet the set deadlines.

With modern and suitable infrastructure, the school will enable thousands of young people to acquire solid technical skills, thereby strengthening the foundations for sustainable development in the country.

Through this initiative, President Ibrahim Traoré is laying the groundwork for a future where education, a true engine of progress, is at the heart of Burkina Faso’s transformation.

This new dynamic, focused on youth autonomy and professionalization, is a promise of hope for a prosperous and sustainable future.
