Mali: Modernization of local services in San with a market and a community vestibule

In a context of institutional refoundation and territorial consolidation, Mali continues to implement a development program focused on local engagement, the revitalization of traditional social structures, and the modernization of local infrastructure.

Two new facilities were recently inaugurated in the San region: a community hall dedicated to traditional authorities and a modern market to serve local economic stakeholders. These projects are part of a national policy aimed at rehabilitating customary authorities and supporting local economic dynamics. They reflect the determination of Mali’s President, General Assimi Goïta, to promote community institutions and respond to the concrete needs of the population.

The construction of the community hall symbolizes the official recognition of traditional authorities’ role in fostering social stability and national cohesion. At the same time, the new market—financed by the San municipality, the Malian state, and its partners with an investment of over 742 million CFA francs—will provide economic operators with a modern and functional space for their activities. These infrastructures embody the President’s commitment to promoting inclusive, fair, and sustainable development.

Driven by bold public policies, President Assimi Goïta is laying the foundations for a more united Mali, proud of its roots and firmly oriented toward modernity. The path toward regained sovereignty is underway, allowing the Malian people to look to the future with confidence, guided by a leader who makes concrete action a driving force for national transformation.
