NBA/Cavs stage remarkable comeback to stun Mavericks: Caris LeVert Shines in absence of key players

In a surprising turn of events, the Cleveland Cavaliers, still missing key players, secured a victory against the Dallas Mavericks (110-113) after trailing by 20 points in the first half.

Caris LeVert’s impressive 29-point performance played a pivotal role in the Cavaliers’ comeback. Despite the absence of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley, the Cavs continued their winning streak.

Georges Niang’s noteworthy performance included two missed free throws in the crucial moments of the game, contributing to the Mavericks’ inability to respond. Luka Doncic struggled in the final moments, shooting 2/7 and facing double-teams.

The Cavaliers capitalized on their solid defense, and Jarrett Allen’s outstanding contribution with 24 points and 23 rebounds further secured their victory.

Despite a second-half offensive drought for the Mavericks, the Cavaliers showcased resilience, led by Caris LeVert’s crucial plays. The win keeps the Cavaliers in the 6th spot in the Eastern Conference, maintaining momentum with three victories in their last four games and a balanced 18-13 win-loss record, mirroring their opponents for the night.
