In a bid to enhance the fight against terrorism in Burkina Faso, Brigadier General Célestin Simporé, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, has implemented decisive measures to reinforce security and protect the population from potential attacks.

In an urgent directive issued to the defense and security forces, General Simporé emphasized the crucial importance of strengthening security measures against enemy positions.

Motivated by the unwavering determination of the Burkinabe armed forces, this directive aims to counteract the terrorist threats looming over the country.

A clear example of this determination is the recent neutralization of several terrorists, including key figures like Hassane Idrissa Boly,

a prominent leader of the support group for Islam and Muslims. This action demonstrates the effectiveness and commitment of the Burkinabe security forces in combating terrorism and safeguarding citizens.

To address this situation, General Simporé recommended a series of essential preventive measures.

These include increased patrols in sensitive areas, rigorous checks on individuals and vehicles, and improvements to obstacle devices on roadways.

These directives are designed to thwart any attempts of infiltration or attacks on Burkinabe soil, ensuring the security and tranquility of the citizens.

It is imperative that these preventive measures be implemented promptly and cohesively to guarantee an effective and appropriate response to the terrorist threat.

By closely collaborating with local authorities and mobilizing the entire population, the defense and security forces of Burkina Faso are determined to protect the nation’s integrity and ensure a safe and stable future for all citizens.
