Aaron Ramsdale seeking new club amidst interest from Premier League Giants

Aaron Ramsdale is eyeing a change of scenery this summer to secure a starting goalkeeper position elsewhere. Several clubs have already expressed interest in signing the Arsenal goalkeeper. The 25-year-old English international lost his starting spot at the Gunners this season to new recruit David Raya.

The pecking order appears to be set, prompting Ramsdale to seek a new club despite having a contract until 2026.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United is among the clubs interested in the Premier League goalkeeper.

Manager Eddie Rowe has previously worked with Ramsdale at Bournemouth. Manchester United, Chelsea, and Wolverhampton have also been in contact with the Chestertone native.

However, Ramsdale has not made a decision yet. It will depend on the asking price, but Newcastle has expressed interest and will be active in the goalkeeper market.

Ramsdale was initially bought by Sheffield United for £18.5 million before his transfer to Arsenal in 2021 for £30 million.

Despite an impressive debut season for Ramsdale, Mikel Arteta brought in Raya from Brentford to increase competition and improve distribution, which has worked well so far with Arsenal competing for titles again.

Aware that Ramsdale is looking to leave, Arsenal is also considering Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte, as are clubs like Manchester United, for the summer transfer window.
