Age falsification scandal rocks Nigerian U17 Football team ahead of UFOA B U17 tournament

The Nigerian U17 football team preparing for the UFOA B U17 tournament faces a major scandal involving age falsification. Half of the squad has been dismissed after MRI tests revealed they were over 17, disrupting the team’s preparations just days before the competition begins.

This unexpected event forces the Nigerian team to quickly rethink its strategy and selection process.

The tournament, which grants qualification spots for the African U17 Cup of Nations, starts on May 15 in Accra, Ghana.

Nigeria, the defending champion, faces challenges both in assembling a competitive team and securing qualification for the upcoming continental competition.
