Niger/Support for the CNSP: The People of Niger remain united and mobilised for sovereignty and the rebuilding of the country

Last Sunday, thousands of Nigeriens gathered in Niamey to express their unwavering support for the transitional government, led by President Abdourahmane Tiani, as part of a demonstration organized by a coalition of civil society organizations.

The march served as a powerful reminder that the people of Niger stand firmly behind their leaders in the ongoing struggle for national sovereignty, freedom, and development.

This show of solidarity reflects the deep commitment of the population to the nation’s future, with many viewing it as a testament to the government’s efforts to address the country’s pressing needs.

The authorities, under the leadership of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP), have made significant strides in key areas since coming to power.

These efforts are aimed at forging new, strategic partnerships that are more aligned with Niger’s interests, particularly in combating terrorism.

The people of Niger also remain steadfast in their support of the government’s industrial and social policies. Key measures, including reductions in hospital fees, food prices, and the costs of petroleum products and cement, have provided much-needed relief to citizens. The government’s focus on improving living conditions has not gone unnoticed.

During the march, demonstrators celebrated these positive changes, praising the government’s determination to build a new Niger.

Their collective voice also served as a strong message to those seeking to destabilize the country, signaling that the nation’s resolve remains unshaken.

The people of Niger are committed to ensuring that the country’s aspirations are realized, and they vowed to continue supporting the government in achieving its goals.
