Basketball/ Second Window of AfroBasket 2025 Qualifiers heads to Senegal

The journey to the FIBA AfroBasket 2025 continues with the second window of the qualifiers set to take place in Senegal from November 22 to 24, 2024. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Dakar Arena, the event will bring together teams from Groups A and C as they battle for a spot in the prestigious continental tournament.

 

In Group C, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will face strong competition, going head-to-head with Senegal, Gabon, and Rwanda. Cameroon begins their campaign on Friday, November 22, at 9:00 PM against Gabon.

 

The indomitable Lions will then take on Rwanda on Saturday, November 23, at 9:00 PM before closing out the qualifiers with a high-stakes match against host nation Senegal on Sunday, November 24, at 6:00 PM.

 

This stage of the qualifiers is part of a broader process involving 20 nations competing over three qualification windows, culminating in February 2025.

 

Teams aim to secure one of the 16 spots in the AfroBasket 2025, scheduled for August in Angola.

 

With Senegal’s Dakar Arena serving as the backdrop, fans can expect an electrifying atmosphere as national teams showcase their skills. The tournament not only promises thrilling basketball action but also serves as a key milestone on the road to crowning Africa’s basketball champion.
