Burkina Faso: Tomato factory inaugurated under the patronage of President Ibrahim Traoré

On Saturday, November 30, 2024, Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso’s economic hub, will host a landmark event for the country’s agro-industrial sector. Under the esteemed patronage of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Faso, the official inauguration of a state-of-the-art tomato processing plant will take place, marking a significant step in the nation’s industrial development.

 

Launched on September 23, 2023, this ambitious project represents the government’s commitment to adding value to local agricultural resources by promoting on-site processing.

 

Outfitted with cutting-edge technology, the facility boasts the capacity to process several tons of tomatoes daily, injecting renewed vitality into Burkina Faso’s agricultural sector.

 

While meeting domestic demand, the plant also aims to expand its reach to regional and international markets.

 

With an emphasis on superior quality and innovation, the processed tomatoes are poised to showcase Burkina Faso’s ability to produce competitive and high-value food products.
