Football/ Algeria to face Sweden in June friendly ahead of World Cup qualifiers

Algeria’s national team will play two international friendlies in June, including a high-profile match against Sweden on June 10 at Stockholm’s Strawberry Arena. The game serves as key preparation for both sides ahead of upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Sweden’s manager Stefan Pettersson expressed enthusiasm about facing the higher-ranked Algerian squad, stating on the Swedish FA’s official website: “We look forward to concluding our spring international window against Algeria with strong home support. This will be an important test against quality opposition before our crucial qualifiers.”

Earlier in June, Algeria is expected to play Niger in a Constantine warm-up match. These friendlies will help both teams fine-tune tactics before competitive fixtures resume.
