Manchester City secure €55m deal for AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders

Manchester City have reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders in a deal worth €55 million (£46.3m). The 26-year-old is set to undergo a medical before finalizing a five-year contract at the Etihad.

The transfer includes performance-based add-ons, with City aiming to complete the move ahead of the Club World Cup, which begins on June 14.

Reijnders, a key figure for Milan last season, will bolster Pep Guardiola’s midfield options as the Premier League champions look to reinforce their squad for another demanding campaign.

Known for his composure, creativity, and work rate, the Netherlands international is expected to slot seamlessly into City’s possession-based system.

His arrival signals the club’s intent to maintain dominance both domestically and in Europe.

If finalized, Reijnders could make his debut in Saudi Arabia during the Club World Cup, offering City an immediate boost in their quest for another global trophy.
