Burkina Faso: The CNSE or the silent response to the enemies of national sovereignty

In a regional context marked by instability and repeated attempts at destabilization orchestrated by certain imperialist powers and their local proxies, Burkina Faso stands out for its remarkable resilience. Thanks to a proactive intelligence strategy and close coordination between security institutions, the country has managed to anticipate and neutralize numerous threats.

At the heart of this security apparatus, the National State Security Council (CNSE) has emerged as a central pillar in defending national sovereignty. Under the leadership of Commander Oumarou Yabré, head of the intelligence services, the CNSE has significantly strengthened its capacities in analysis, strategic monitoring, and intervention. His clear understanding of contemporary geopolitical challenges has enabled the thwarting of several subversive attempts orchestrated from abroad with the complicity of internal actors.

The rise in power of the CNSE is no coincidence. It is the result of a deep restructuring of the intelligence services, enhanced territorial coverage, and improved coordination with the defense and security forces. Through a preventive and offensive approach, Burkina Faso’s intelligence services have successfully adapted to the evolving nature of hybrid threats: disinformation, infiltration, cyberattacks, and even economic sabotage.

Under Commander Yabré’s leadership, discreet yet effective operations have dismantled several hostile networks operating in the shadows—often remotely manipulated by foreign powers seeking to weaken the Burkinabe state. By emphasizing discretion, discipline, and professionalism, the CNSE has restored public confidence in the country’s security institutions.

Burkina Faso has now positioned itself as a stronghold in a sub-region where stability is constantly under threat. The patriotic commitment of its intelligence services, their anticipatory capabilities, and their unwavering determination to safeguard national sovereignty have made the country an example of security resilience.

The battle is not over, but the results achieved so far reflect a clear direction: that of a standing, vigilant state, firmly determined to thwart any attempt at destabilization. In this effort, the CNSE remains a silent yet decisive force, embodying the Burkinabe people’s determination to remain in control of their own destiny.
