Foot/Mercato: Real Madrid’s Deadline: Mbappé’s Future Decision by January 15

According to As, Real Madrid is eagerly awaiting a decision from 24-year-old Kylian Mbappé regarding his future before January 15. Beyond this date, the club will seriously consider pursuing Erling Haaland as an alternative.

The countdown has been underway since last summer at Real Madrid, which, while keeping a low profile, closely monitors the situation of its long-standing priority target, 24-year-old Kylian Mbappé.

The PSG forward’s choice not to activate the option, at his sole discretion, for an additional year in Paris has reopened the possibility of a move to Spain next summer, on a free transfer, at the end of his contract expiring in June 2024.

As reports that Real Madrid is eagerly anticipating a significant date: January 1, 2024.

If Mbappé hasn’t extended his contract with Paris by then, he will be permitted to discuss and negotiate with the club of his choice.

Madrid does not plan to take action before this date, which will mark the beginning of its renewed pursuit, as per the Spanish publication.

Unlike 2022, when Real Madrid believed it had secured the player’s approval for a free transfer the following summer, only for Mbappé to extend his contract with Paris in May, the club now insists on a firm and definitive commitment from the player, excluding verbal agreements or statements open to interpretation.

Real Madrid will send all necessary documents to Fayza Lamari, Mbappé’s mother and representative, to obtain her approval, and this is expected promptly.

As per As, Real Madrid hopes the Mbappé camp will confirm their decision before January 15.

After setbacks in 2017 and 2022, Real Madrid will once again try its luck, albeit without a guarantee of success this time. Nevertheless, the club’s leadership aims to dispel uncertainty as quickly as possible.
