On June 12-13, 2025, Lomé will serve as the host city for the first-ever BOAD Development Days, a pivotal gathering that reinforces Togo’s position as a regional leader in development finance and sustainable investment. Organized by the West African Development Bank (BOAD), the event will bring together 200 participants from 25 countries to address the critical theme of “Financing the Energy Transition and Sustainable Agriculture.”

This high-level forum demonstrates Togo’s growing influence in shaping regional solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges, including universal energy access, food security, and climate resilience.

The selection of Lomé as host reflects the international community’s confidence in Togo’s economic vision and its ability to facilitate meaningful dialogue among public and private sector stakeholders.

Beyond serving as a platform for knowledge exchange, the Development Days aim to strengthen collaborative partnerships and mobilize essential resources to support West Africa’s green transition and agricultural transformation.

The event underscores Togo’s emergence as a strategic hub for development innovation and a driving force behind Africa’s economic progress.

Through initiatives like the BOAD Development Days, Togo continues to cement its reputation as an indispensable actor in Africa’s sustainable development landscape, capable of convening diverse stakeholders and translating discussions into concrete action.

The country’s proactive approach to fostering regional cooperation positions it as a key architect of West Africa’s prosperous future.
