Mali: Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maïga launches validation of administrative procedure manuals

Bamako, August 18, 2025 – Prime Minister, Major General Abdoulaye Maïga, presided this Monday over the official opening of the first session of the National Commission for the Validation of Administrative, Operational, Financial, and Accounting Procedure Manuals.

A total of fourteen draft manuals are being reviewed by the Commission members, with the aim of strengthening governance, transparency, and efficiency within Mali’s public administration.

The Inspector General of Public Services, Badra Alou Coulibaly, recalled that these manuals are “indispensable tools” to ensure strict compliance with procedures and to improve the performance of public services.

For his part, Prime Minister Maïga stressed the importance of internal control and financial integrity, priorities regularly emphasized by the Transitional President, Colonel Assimi Goïta, in the fight against corruption and administrative misconduct.

The drafting and validation of these manuals are part of the government’s 2025–2026 action plan, which prioritizes administrative reform and the consolidation of the State’s credibility.

“The establishment of these reference documents represents a crucial step in providing the administration with modern, clear, and effective tools,” underlined the Prime Minister.

The validation session thus marks a major step forward in the modernization of public management, serving a more efficient, transparent, and accountable administration.
