Antony Blinken’s african tour: A closer look at the hidden agendas

Secretary of State Antony Blinken embarked on a strategic tour across Africa, making stops in Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Angola. While this diplomatic initiative is presented as a goodwill gesture, it sheds light on the duplicity and hypocrisy that often characterize Western powers.

The sudden interest of the U.S. government in the security challenges faced by African countries has prompted the Secretary of State to offer aid during his tour.

The focus of this tour is primarily on security issues, with special attention given to the growing terrorist threat observed in the Sahel.

The U.S. authorities aim to strengthen security cooperation with the visited countries to effectively counter this regional menace. This action raises questions about the true intentions behind the U.S. overtures.

During his stay in Ivory Coast, Secretary Blinken, besides his charm offensive — which is arguably not genuine —did not hesitate to cast a negative light on the activities of the Wagner Group, essentially implicating Russia on the continent.

«The problem we’ve seen a bit across Africa, in countries that have decided to entrust their fate to the Wagner Group, for example, Russia, is that violence, destruction, terrorism, abuse of resources, abuse of the people follow… Insecurity has increased in every country where, for example, the Wagner Group operates or operated».

Making such statements when the entire world knows that NATO’s greed and perversity in 2011 in Libya created the current situation in the Sahel is a blatant attempt to shift blame.
