Burkina Faso/Counter-terrorism: President Ibrahim TRAORE stands by war wounded

The transition president and Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, visited wounded fighters on the battlefield where they faced the enemy in the wilderness. His presence alongside these brave warriors reflects his compassion and concern for their well-being.

During the encounter, he provided encouragement, boosted their morale, and reassured them of his commitment to their proper care and socio-professional reintegration.

The transition authorities, under his leadership, have implemented several measures to enhance the conditions and support for wounded fighters during operations.

This visit addressed key issues such as career management, improvements in the medical facilities at the army medical center, and the psychological support for injured personnel in operations.

It also served as an opportunity for the head of state to pay tribute to these national heroes, who have expressed a desire for a national day in their honor.

President Traoré informed about the operationalization of the Armed Forces Health Insurance Fund, training initiatives, and measures for the reintegration of the injured, which will continue to be a priority.

Furthermore, plans are underway to establish an agency dedicated to career management, which will be operational in the coming months according to the president.

He reiterated that ongoing reforms and discussions are addressing the expressed concerns of injured personnel in operations with diligence and effectiveness.
