Senegal/Presidential election 2024: Partial results, candidate Amadou Ba shows maturity and patriotism

Amadou Ba, selected as the presidential candidate by incumbent President Macky Sall, has demonstrated maturity, democratic values, and patriotism throughout the ongoing election process.

Despite the ongoing tallying of ballots, Ba has acknowledged and respected the emerging trends in the election results.

On Monday, March 25th, following the election, Ba extended his congratulations to opposition candidate Bassirou Diomaye Faye, representing Ousmane Sonko’s party, for securing victory in the first round of the presidential election.

Faye’s strong performance in most polling stations across Dakar, the capital of Senegal, has been widely recognized.

«In light of the ongoing election results and pending official confirmation, I extend my sincere congratulations to President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye for his decisive victory in the first round», Ba remarked.

Furthermore, Ba expressed his hopes and prayers for Faye to receive the necessary strength and energy to fulfill his responsibilities as the country’s leader.

He wished Faye great success for the benefit and prosperity of the Senegalese people.

Ba’s sentiments of respect and acknowledgment are shared by other candidates, with reports indicating widespread recognition and felicitations for Ousmane Sonko’s candidate on his victory.
