Togo: Building sustainable food systems, the answer to the challenge of hunger
Togo has unveiled an ambitious roadmap to transform its food systems by 2030, aiming to eliminate hunger across the nation. Confronted with pressing food security challenges affecting many countries, the Togolese government has implemented a series of reforms and initiatives over recent years to strengthen agricultural production.
The strategic plan includes measures to enhance farmers’ capabilities, improve market access, and diversify crops. Togo also plans to invest in agricultural infrastructure, support research and innovation, and encourage sustainable farming practices.
Leading this mission, President Faure Gnassingbé is committed to ensuring that hunger is no longer a part of daily life for Togolese citizens.
