Sebastian Coe criticizes high ticket prices for Paris 2024 Olympics

The president of the International Association of Athletics Federations, Sebastian Coe, criticized the high ticket prices for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a teleconference with press agencies, he emphasized the French organizing committee’s responsibility to fill the stadiums despite the high costs.

Coe particularly stressed the need for affordable prices to allow the public, including athletes’ families, to attend the events.

While over 7.6 million tickets have been put on sale, with prices ranging from 24 euros to 690 euros, especially for athletics competitions, the former Olympic champion expressed his wishes for the successful organization of the Games.

He hopes they will take place safely, without excessive restrictions, despite the tense international context.
