Real Madrid grinds out 1-0 victory over Sevilla to extend La Liga Lead

Real Madrid secured a crucial 1-0 victory against FC Sevilla in the 26th round of La Liga at Santiago Bernabéu. The first half lacked pace, with a disallowed goal for Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez due to a foul by Nacho.

Despite efforts from Vinicius, Rodrygo, and a floating shot from Valverde, the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, both teams had opportunities but struggled to break the deadlock.

The decisive moment came with Carlo Ancelotti’s substitution, bringing in Luka Modric, who capitalized on a Valverde cross to score a superb goal in the 81st minute.

The 1-0 win solidified Real Madrid’s lead in La Liga with 65 points, seven clear of second-placed FC Barcelona.

This victory marked Real Madrid’s 87th league win against FC Sevilla, while Sevilla remains in the 15th position with 24 points.
