Mali: Colonel Assimi Goïta keeps his word with a significant reduction in fuel prices from 11 October 2024

Starting Friday, October 11, 2024, fuel prices in Mali will experience a significant reduction at the pump. The long-awaited decision, introduced by the government under the leadership of Colonel Assimi Goïta, President of the Transition, will see a decrease of 50 CFA francs per liter for both gasoline and diesel.

This move is part of the administration’s commitment to address rising living costs and enhance the welfare of Malian citizens.

In light of economic challenges and the growing strain on household budgets, this fuel price cut offers much-needed relief to Malian families and businesses alike.

By lowering fuel costs, Colonel Goïta continues to demonstrate his dedication to implementing tangible solutions aimed at easing the financial burden on the population while ensuring economic stability.

The decision reflects the Malian authorities’ sense of responsibility, prioritizing the well-being of citizens despite facing a challenging security and economic environment.

Many Malians are applauding this initiative as it aligns with a broader strategy to combat the high cost of living, a key focus of Colonel Goïta’s leadership since the start of the Transition.
