Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham will undergo shoulder surgery after the 2024 Club World Cup, sidelining him for at least six weeks at the start of next season.
The 21-year-old has battled the recurring injury since late 2023, managing it with heavy strapping during matches.
The operation, scheduled post-tournament (June 15–July 13), will rule Bellingham out of preseason and likely England’s September qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia.
His absence compounds a challenging season for Madrid, who lost La Liga to Barcelona and exited the Champions League early—a contrast to his stellar debut campaign (23 goals, domestic and European glory).
