Popular fervor reached its peak this Wednesday afternoon in Bobo-Dioulasso, where the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, was welcomed in an atmosphere of jubilation and enthusiasm. Thousands of Burkinabe gathered to show their unwavering support for the man they consider a true architect of national sovereignty, restored security, and sustainable development.

From the first towns along the Ouagadougou-Bobo road—such as Boni, Houndé, and Koumbia—numerous citizens spontaneously gathered to greet the presidential convoy. Scenes of celebration marked the journey, revealing a deeply engaged and grateful population toward the President’s actions.

Upon his arrival in the country’s economic capital, President Ibrahim Traoré was welcomed as a hero. From the city’s entrance to his temporary residence, an impressive crowd accompanied his passage, expressing their affection and admiration through songs, dances, and supportive slogans.

This visit is part of the government’s efforts to structurally transform the national economy, particularly through agricultural and industrial development. On May 22 and 23, President Ibrahim Traoré is scheduled to lead several major initiatives aimed at modernizing and boosting Burkina Faso’s agricultural production. These include the distribution of agropastoral and fishery equipment, the laying of the foundation stone for a cashew processing plant, and the launch of construction work for a veterinary drug production unit.

Through this massive and warm welcome, the people of Sya reaffirm their full support for Captain Ibrahim Traoré. They see in him a visionary and determined leader, committed on all fronts: reclaiming the nation’s territory, achieving economic sovereignty, and building a prosperous and dignified Burkina Faso.

This visit to Bobo-Dioulasso by the Head of State is much more than an official trip; it symbolizes a sacred union between a people and their President, united by a shared determination for resilience, progress, and victory.
